Lagartija Nick, the acclaimed rock band from Granada formed by Antonio Arias, Juan Codorníu, JJ Machuca, and Eric Jiménez, returns with a new album built on the essence of a theme that passionately inspires them: the art and artists of the Generation of '27. Since 1991, the year of its foundation, the discography of the band from Granada has revolved around innovation, transgression, and, above all, paying homage to the masters who influenced both Arias and his brother Jesús. In the last two decades, they have presented two pieces of the puzzle: an album inspired by the work of Lorca, "Omega," and the one dedicated to Val del Omar titled homonymously. Now, more than thirty years later, the four members come together to guide us through the entire creation process of their latest album, "El perro andaluz" (based on the almost unknown poetry collection by Luis Buñuel), from its inception at the Albacete film festival to its most recent concert tour. However, the story goes much further. This documentary will explore the group's connection with acclaimed and beloved figures in our culture, characters carefully chosen by the band to express with chords what may have been left unsaid for so long. A surreal, dreamlike, and evocative show links Lagartija Nick's present with the life and work of the Generation of '27 through photography, sound, film, and, of course, music. Everything converges and connects to the rhythm of rock and poetry in "Generación Lagartija”.
