Jorge Tur Moltó
Filmmaker. Professor and coordinator of the Master's program in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He holds a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Creative Documentary. His works have been showcased at festivals such as Bafici, Doclisboa, Visions Du Réel, Festival dei Popoli, Taiwan International Documentary Festival, Fidocs, Documenta Madrid, and Alcances, among others. His films have also been featured in exhibitions like D-Generación: underground experiences of Spanish non-fiction and Apology/Anthology, which reviews 50 years of video creation in Spain. Furthermore, he has served on the committee awarding grants from the Fund for Cinematic Development (Proimágenes Colombia) in the project writing category, and also on the Contrapicada call, launched by Hamaca in collaboration with Hangar and the Instituto Cervantes. His film "Tell Me Who Was Sanchicorrota" was the winning project of the X-Films initiative at the Punto de Vista Festival. This work has received several awards, including Best Documentary at the Cinespaña Festival in Toulouse and was featured in the series "The Last Laugh: An Alternative History of Spanish Comedy" at The Film Society of Lincoln Center in New York. Additionally, he has worked as a psychologist and led an audiovisual workshop in a psychiatric center. He has served as a jury member at festivals in Athens, Málaga, Cali, X-Films Punto de Vista, Široki Brijeg, Alcances, Dock Of The Bay, L’Alternativa, and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
