Barcelona-born Danny Garcia began his career writing for the Spanish music press in the 1990s and has collaborated on several publications including the legendary American magazine High Times. In 2012, The Rise and Fall of The Clash, a somewhat controversial documentary that examines the dark ending of The Clash, is released. Two years later he finished Looking for Johnny. In December 2016, the documentary Sad Vacation is distributed worldwide after winning the prize for best documentary at the Dock of The Bay Festival in San Sebastian. Also in 2016 Autosuficientes was presented in the framework of the In-Edit Festival. The documentary that reviews the short career of Parálisis Permanente by the hand of Ana Curra, also covers the tour The Act made in Spain and Mexico. In 2019, Danny Garcia presents two new documentaries: STIV (about the singer of Dead Boys and Lords of The New Church, Stiv Bators) and Rolling Stone: Life and Death of Brian Jones.
