Antonio Miguel Arenas

Antonio Miguel Arenas (Granada, 1986) studies Audiovisual Communication at the University of Málaga. In 2012, together with a group of colleagues, he created Revista Magnolia, an online publication of film criticism and analysis, which he has coordinated for five years. Since then he has collaborated in various specialised media such as Otros Cines Europa or eCartelera. In 2016 he participated in the collective book “La Italia de Matteo Garrone” published by the Gijón Festival. He soon alternated his vocation for film criticism with festival communication and management, joining the press department of Punto de Vista in the 2016 and 2017 editions. The same year he joined the team that relaunched the Granada Young Filmmakers Festival, of which he was in charge of press and programming for three editions. In 2018 he was selected for the first postgraduate course in curating at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola in San Sebastián. Since 2021 he has been the artistic director of the Festival Jóvenes Realizadores.
