When electronic music became popular, they were the forgotten ones. We are talking about sonic adventurers like Bebe Barron, Pauline Oliveros, Maryanne Amacher or Eliane Radigue. Women who helped shape the soundscape of the future with magnetic tape, the first synthesizers and computers that took up an entire room. This film aims to repair the historical injustice done to them and their legacy with a hypnotic montage of archival footage, the voice-overs of the protagonists, newsreels, video art, film, dance and computerized images. Science, sound exploration, deep listening, poetry, mysticism and the daily struggle to assert oneself in a world that invariably reserves the credits in large print for men. Essential.
