Death is partly metaphysical, but it is also event, randomness, focalization, accident, death is Hegelian, but it is also Nietzschean; it is dialectic and eternal return of the same thing at the same time.
Born in Gernika in 1985, Aitor combines acoustic and electronic instruments with a primary focus on planes, strings and synthesizers, along with recordings ranging from depressive post-ambient landscapes to minimalist scenarios. A student of sound design, Etxebarria is a lover of repetitions with a passionate obsession. Far from sumptuousness and excesses, after the success of the soundtrack of the acclaimed documentary "Markak" about the traffic bombing of Gernika, in 2017, Aitor started a relationship with MUTE, home of Nick Cave or Max Richter in London and right now he is immersed in a new cinematic adventure with three-time Grammy winner Evelyn Glennie.
Hannot Mintegia has collaborated in the direction, editing and post-production of many projects for EITB. As for cinema, he worked as assistant director and editor on the documentary “Jai Alai Blues” (2015) which premiered at the San Sebastian Festival; likewise, he also worked on the editing and post-production of "A la Bizkaina" (2013), a film selected in the Festival's Culinary Zinema category. In 2016 he presented, once again at the San Sebastian Festival, his first documentary film work as a director: "Markak".
