Álvaro Granda Ferrer, Donostia, 1976. A lover of synthesisers, and especially modular ones, Álvaro was behind the first club in the Basque Country, ‘Everybody Needs a Big Case’, devoted to homemade synthesisers of this kind which are causing such a furore among music producers today. Half of the electronic music duo Reykjavik606, he has worked on numerous audiovisual projects together with Inesfera in which the image plays a major role and, together with the music, forms the central thread. Projects like Textures, where music gives form to images or colours, or Subaquatic, where the image is projected onto a curtain of water, have been exhibited at festivals of the stature of Mutek.
