The second act of Elliott Murphy

Good old F. Scott Fitzgerald once said that there are no second acts in American lives, but here comes Elliott Murphy to prove him wrong. The legendary singer-songwriter always showed great promise: he was gonna be "the next Allman Brothers", the next Dylan, but in the end, Springsteen snatched the trophy and Murphy teetered on the verge. Where does an artist go from there? The Second Act of Elliott Murphy seeks to elucidate a kind road map, of the righteous path from decline to infinite promise. Murphy refused to abandon ship, or to self-destruct ("I've had my problems with alcohol and drugs but I've never used them to strengthen my career"). The eloquent musician takes us on tour with him today, and at each high point on the road (In Europe, as Murphy isn't a profit on his home turf), he takes the opportunity to revisit his career (from Aquashow onwards), ruminate about success, tours ("tour problems are easier to solve than real-life problems") fans ("they're my great treasure"), Scott Fitzgerald (who died unknown, and "this gives me great strength"), hits that don't happen and pure staying power.
